Mrs. Furber ... Class 1A

Religion: We have completed the last chapter in the text book. This week we will review the material that we have covered this year.

Math: Web sites ...worksheets at www.math-drills.com
to build skill www.firstinmath.com

We will be working with bar and picture graphs.

ILA ...
Reading: We have finished our last anthology. We will be reading the extra books that accompany our series and writing, in sentence form, the answers to the question at the end of the story.

Notes

Thursday is the awards ceremony at 12:30 in the church.

Tuesday June 8 is field day for first grade. Students are to wear the gym uniform on Tuesday

Closing day is June 9th. Students will attend the 9:00 liturgy. We will have an early dismissal at 11:30.

Report cards may be picked up on June 15th from 9-noon and on the June 16th. from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

I would like to thank Mrs. Julia Kelly (Timmy's Mom) and Mrs. Katie Speicher-Ramirez (Dallas' Mom) and all the parents that helped with the end of the year party. The children and I had a wonderful time. I would like to thanks for the gift cards and hope that everyone has a wonderful summer.

FieldTrip

The first grade field trip to Hershey Zoo and Chocolate World is on June 1, 2010. The bus will leave from SJS at 8:15 am and return at 2:00 pm. Students will wear the school uniform. Your child will need a packed lunch and drink. Milk will not be available. The lunch should be in a disposable bag. Please put your child's name and room number on the bag. Refrigeration will not be provided.
