Emergency Closings

When weather conditions arise that affect our ability to bus students to school safely, a delay or closing is necessary.
For delay/closing information, you may do any of the following:

• Check the St. Joseph School website 'Bulletin Board' at www.sjsmch.org
• Tune into WNNK 104 FM or WRVV 97.3 FM radio
• Tune into WHTM Channel 27, WGAL Channel 8, or WHTM Channel 21 television
• Parents registered with the ParentBroadcast program will be notified
  
  Saint Joseph School follows the Mechanicsburg School District for school closings or delays, regardless of what other districts do. However, do listen to news regarding other school districts as they apply to your child's bus schedule. In the event of an Early Dismissal, children are dismissed as the buses from their respective school districts arrive.

TWO HOUR DELAY - We will have a Modified Kindergarten Program. Kindergarten AM bus students will be picked up two hours later than usual and the morning session will begin at 10:20 and end at 12:00 noon. The Full-Day Kindergarten students should follow the schedule of the rest of the school.

If your child's school district chooses to cancel school but the Mechanicsburg Schools are in session, your child will not be penalized for absence if you rely on busing for transportation. If a bus is late to school due to weather conditions or traffic delays, your child will not be considered tardy.
