If you have a question that is not listed here, please go to the link below and submit your question via email. Q: What is the uniform code at St. Joseph School? A: School uniforms are worn every day at St. Joseph. Dress Down Days are the exception to this rule. A minimum donation of 50 cents is requested on Dress Down Days, except when otherwise directed, and donated to a designated charity. Dress Down Days are noted on the calendar distributed at school and on the website under the School Events Page. School uniforms may be purchased from Flynn & O'Hara online at: http://flynnohara.com/, at a store location (there is one is Harrisburg),or through the school.
Q: What is the average class size? A: The number of students in each class varies depending on current enrollment. Classes may have anywhere from 18 to 30 students per class, with 30 as the maximum.
Q: What kind of 'special' classes does St. Joseph offer? A: Art, Music, Physical Education, Health, and Computer are part of each's student's schedule. Instrumental Music is available for those who are interested.
Q: What are the qualifications of the teachers and what is their retention rate? A: All teachers on staff at St. Joseph have their Certification from the Commonwealth. In addition, six of our teachers have a Masters Degree The average tenure is eleven (11) years.
Q: Is bus transportation available for my child? A: Yes, as long as the school district where you reside offers bus transportation. You should contact your local School District Transportation Office to determine times and locations of school bus stops in your neighborhood. |
