St. Joseph Athletic Association Coverage of Gate Table and Concession Stand Procedure This procedure is designed to provide guidance to every head coach with regard to coverage of gate tables and concession tables, for home games, throughout the basketball season. It is important that each head coach identify a team mom who can help with team administration functions and scheduling coverage for the gate and concession tables, among other possible duties. It is important the coach or team mom make it clear to all parents of team children that their help is expected and needed to cover the gate and concession tables during home games throughout the season. This help is really minimal. A list of parents should be developed, by each team mom, for there respective home games. The team mom should re-contact the participants from the list just prior to the game so as to ensure the parent is still aware of their original commitment and plans to follow through. The participant should plan to show up about 30 minutes early to ensure continued coverage of both these tables. A backup list is encouraged since emergencies do arise and others should be available on a standby basis. For 1st games of the day, it is expected the participants arrive ? hour early to help set up the gym. For last games of the day, it is expected participants stay until every thing is put away (probably ? hour). Items to set up include chairs for the spectators, the concession table, the scoring table, and the scoreboard/time clock. All of the items are located in the closet in the gym.
