Summer Packets 2009
Dear Parents/Guardians:
This summer, your child will receive a learning packet that he/she is to complete. The intent of this packet is to reinforce the skills and concepts that your child has learned during the previous year. You can assist your child in completing this packet by making it part of his/her daily routine.
These packets will be turned in to next year's teacher during the first week of school. The teachers will be reviewing the packets with the students. Results from the summer work will be used by the teacher to develop and implement the curriculum to best meet the needs of the individual student and the entire class.
If you do not have access to the website, copies can be picked up at the school office. We thank you in advance for your support in encouraging your child to do his/her best on this packet. Daily review is important to strengthening and retaining important academic skills.

*As of 7/29/2009, the Seventh Grade Packet was changed. There were four pages assigned to incoming 7th & 8th Graders which should really only be for the incoming 8th Graders. These pages are titled the following: Integer Addition & Subtraction, Operations With Integers, Integer Multiplication, and Integer Division. Students who just completed 6th Grade do not need to do these 4 pages of the Math Packet. If they are interested & would like to try, they are more than welcome to do so. If any student has completed any of these 4 pages, Mrs. Devlin, our middle school math teacher, has said she will give those students bonus points for doing so. Sorry for the inconvenience.* |
