After School Enrichment Clubs Spring 2010

St. Joseph School is pleased to offer

After-School Enrichment Clubs for grades 1-8.

Enrichment Clubs will be held from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on 6 Tuesday afternoons:

March 2, March 9, March 16, March 23, March 30, and April 6 (Note exceptions listed below for SJS Theatrical Company).

Garden Club and Outdoor Crafts

(grades 1 and 2; max # students = 15)

Moderator: Mrs. Kathy Merrill

Recycling as Art (Creative Art)

(grades 1-4; max # students = 15)

Moderator: Mrs. Tracy Montefour

Writing Workshop

(grade 3; max # students = 20)

This Writing Workshop is a very friendly introduction to the writing process. All students will be encouraged to experiment with writing in a non-threatening environment and learn to love the power of the pen.

Kids Choir

(grades 3-5; max # students = 25)

Digital Storytelling and Intro to Making Movies

(grades 4, 5, and 6; max # students =12)

Mixed Media Art

(grades 5, 6, and 7; max # students =15)

Volleyball

(grades 6, 7, and 8-boys and girls; max # students = 20)

Environmental Science

**There is a planned workday for this club on April 10th. Meet at SJS at 9:00 a.m.

*SJS Theatrical Company--Drama

(grades 6, 7, and 8; max # students =17)

Moderators: Mrs. Rosanna Ellis and Mrs. Marianne Hodges

*NOTE: The SJS Theatrical Company will meet from 3:00-5:00 on the Tuesday club days. The SJS Theatrical Company will have an additional practice on Wednesday, April 7, from 3:00-5:00. They will perform for family and friends on Thursday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a performance earlier in the day for St. Joseph School.

*Cost for participation in each club is $30.00 per student, which includes supplies and a snack at the beginning of each club session.
